New Announcement from the Taipei City Government—Smoking Prohibited in the Outdoor Areas belonging to the Taipei City Daan Land Office, Effective November 1, 2025
In order to protect citizens' health and to establish a smoke-free outdoor environment, we hereby announce that smoking is prohibited in outdoor areas belonging to the Taipei City Daan Land Office, effective November 1, 2025, in accordance with Article 19, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4, of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act. Any individuals who violate this non-smoking rule will be subject to a fine ranging from NTD 2,000 to NTD 10,000, pursuant to Article 40, Paragraph 2, of the same Act.
