Announcement: Outdoor areas of Xing Yan Social Welfare Services Building and sidewalks around MRT Wanfang Hospital Station to become smoke-free zones
To protect the public from secondhand smoke and foster a smoke-free environment, the Taipei City Government Department of Health announces the following areas will be designated as comprehensive no-smoking zones: This designation is made in accordance with Article 19, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act. Individuals found smoking in these areas will be fined NT$2,000 to NT$10,000, as per Article 40, Paragraph 2 of the Act.
